St Patrick’s Church, Portaferry is the second oldest church in the Diocese of Down & Connor and was built in 1745. The following is a record of Parish Priests who served in the Parish of Ballyphilip from that date until the present day. Join us on St Patrick's Day weekend for a family friendly garden tour and discover the stories behind the curious statues in the formal gardens, steeped in Irish and world mythology. The gravestones are scattered through the old part of the cemetery and the oldest dates from 1847. A new part to the cemetery was opened in 1993 by Bishop Patrick Walsh.
